Chevrolet Trailblazer

About the Chevrolet Trailblazer

Blending a city-sized footprint with a big attitude, the versatile Chevrolet Trailblazer has the flexibility and technology you need to make the most of your next adventure. Thanks to its compact platform and choice of two ECOTEC engines, the Trailblazer continues to grow in popularity as an impressively efficient alternative to other large gas-guzzling SUVs. Offered in a selection of bold exterior colors including a two-tone contrast roof, it’s simple to find a Trailblazer that mirrors a personality as unique as your own.

Impressively spacious, the cabin of the Trailblazer is also loaded with cutting-edge technology features and up to a cavernous 54.3 cubic feet of cargo space made possible by its unique 2-level reversible rear load floor. Included as standard on every Trailblazer, the Chevy Safety Assist collection of cutting-edge driver-assist technologies is there to help you react to the unknown on the roads. With a versatile range of trims to choose from, it’s easy to find a Chevrolet Trailblazer that’s a great match for your lifestyle and driving preferences.

What the Critics Say

“The Trailblazer offers a nice balance between analog and digital controls, and everything’s fairly easy to figure out at first glance. The Trailblazer’s ride height is slightly elevated over a compact sedan so it’s easy to simply open the door and step into. Even taller rear passengers won’t have to resort to gymnastics to get inside.” — Edmunds

“And the Trailblazer excels at carrying whatever you’ll need to haul. Its roomy cargo area can be expanded by not only folding the rear seats but the front passenger seat as well. In our testing, we fit six carry-on suitcases behind the rear seat; with the rear seatbacks folded, we fit a total of 19.” — Car and Driver

What’s New for 2025

Following a significant update just last year, the Chevrolet Trailblazer receives only minor tweaks for 2025. First, shoppers are now able to select a new Marina Blue Metallic exterior color. Second, the standard 1.2L ECOTEC engine has been revised with new E-85 flex fuel capabilities made possible by new cylinder head valve seat materials for improved efficiency. Those are the only two changes to report for the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Chevrolet Trailblazer Features

Chevrolet Trailblazer

Capable Performance

The Chevrolet Trailblazer comes standard with a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that produces 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This is enough to make the small SUV feel peppy but those who want a little more can opt for the available 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine which delivers 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The bigger engine is available on most trims and comes standard with the off-road-focused ACTIV and the performance-focused RS. With the ACTIV, this extra power comes with a functional skidplate, off-road suspension, and sport terrain tires. With the RS you get 19-inch high-gloss black machined-aluminum wheels and a dual-outlet exhaust. Ranging from rugged to sophisticated, it’s simple to find a Chevrolet Trailblazer that delivers the power and style you need to make a memorable first impression.

Chevrolet Trailblazer Interior

Class-Leading Versatility

One of the most important qualities for a compact SUV to have is a good use of interior space and the Chevrolet Trailblazer is way ahead of the competition in this arena. The 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seats is already more than you get in a lot of much bigger SUVs but add to that the fold-flat rear seats and it increases to 54.3 cubic feet. The front passenger seat even folds flat, something you won’t find in other compact SUVs. The Trailblazer is also one of the only vehicles in this segment that is rated for towing with a maximum towing capacity rating of up to 1,000 pounds. The Trailblazer packs a ton of utility into a vehicle that’s still easy to park and maneuver out of tight spaces.

Chevrolet Trailblazer

Superb Style

Most automakers have a difficult time translating their design language into something that works for smaller vehicles but the Chevrolet Trailblazer proves it actually is possible. Adding a bit more flair to the already impressive styling are options like color-contrast roofs, LED exterior lighting, and eye-catching machined aluminum wheels. An available panoramic power sunroof gives a bright and airy feel to a cabin that’s already bigger than you would expect in this segment. And if you opt for the hands-free power programmable liftgate, you get LED logo projection when it’s open. Inside and out, it’s hard to ignore the youthful personality of the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
